Lytx has launched LytxOne in the UK, bringing video safety, telematics and maintenance capabilities together in one platform. It gives UK fleet operators a single view of vehicle and driver information at a time when data is often split across systems that do not connect.
Lytx is an AI-powered fleet management company. LytxOne is a plug-and-play solution that can be integrated through an API.
The system includes an in-cab camera, a vehicle gateway device that captures vehicle data and processes video footage, and a hub that lets fleets add up to ten additional camera feeds, including auxiliary cameras.
Vehicle mileage, fuel use, location and driving behaviour data are available alongside footage through one platform. Compliance functions cover regulatory and reporting requirements, such as vehicle inspections and audits.
Oliver Temple, VP EMEA and APAC at Lytx, said: “Fleet operators are juggling a lot of moving parts, and often vehicle, driver and safety data is being split across different systems that aren’t talking to each other. We know fleets of all sizes are looking for smoother ways to bring that information together.”
Temple said: “LytxOne gives UK fleets a better understanding of what’s happening across their operations, so they can spot risks, act faster and make more informed decisions.”
The pressure to act on that data is rising. Business Motoring reported that specialist transport law firm LMP Legal warned operators could face criminal or regulatory action if they fail to act on safety concerns identified through dashcam and telematics technology.
Charlotte Le Maire, founder and partner at LMP Legal, said: “Fitting cameras and telematics to vehicles is only the starting point. Operators need to be reviewing the footage, understanding what the data is telling them and, most importantly, acting on any issues it flags up.”
For the sector, a platform that consolidates video, telematics and inspections signals that fleet technology is moving from collecting data to showing operators that they reviewed it and acted.
