Indian IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reorganised its leadership structure, created five new business units and expanded its partnership with ABB through a multi-million, multi-year agreement to transform global network operations. The changes are intended to strengthen organisational focus, improve operational delivery and support AI-led business transformation.
TCS reported that TCS has introduced new business groups covering Travel, Transport and Hospitality, Energy, Resources and Utilities, a dedicated US West Coast Business Group, a combined Communications, Media, Information Services and Technology unit, and a dedicated sales organisation focused on Autonomous Business Operations. The company also announced several senior leadership appointments across its global operations.
The restructuring includes leadership changes in Canada, cybersecurity, life sciences and the ServiceNow practice. TCS said the new structure is designed to provide greater focus on strategic markets and industry segments while strengthening customer engagement and supporting AI-led transformation initiatives.
Separately, TCS expanded its collaboration with ABB to deliver end-to-end global network operations through an integrated network-as-a-service model. The company said the agreement broadens its role from managing infrastructure and applications to supporting network operations that improve operational efficiency, security, compliance, scalability and user experience.
In an internal communication, Aarthi Subramanian, COO of TCS, said: “Cyber security is a strategically important business unit for TCS, as clients across industries strengthen their digital resilience, modernise security operations, and prepare for an AI-led enterprise landscape. As cyber threats increase and become more complex, this unit will play an increasingly important role in helping clients prevent, defend, and protect their enterprise needs.”
Anupam Singhal, President, Manufacturing at TCS, said: “With AI embedded into the network operations model, supported by secure digital infrastructure and our deep domain expertise, we are bringing our 'infrastructure to intelligence' approach to build a resilient, intelligent network backbone. Through this engagement, we will enable network systems that can sense, adapt, and improve continuously, while strengthening reliability, security, user experience, and scale as ABB continues to advance as a future-ready enterprise.”
