Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, has successfully renewed its third IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), highlighting its ongoing commitment to aviation safety, operational integrity, and compliance with international industry standards.

The airline was first registered under IOSA in 2021 and has maintained strict adherence to the two-year audit cycle, now under IATA’s enhanced Risk-Based IOSA framework.

The comprehensive audit, conducted by independent IATA-accredited experts, evaluated flight operations, aircraft maintenance, safety systems, security management, crew training, and organisational control. Completion of the renewal confirms that SalamAir continues to uphold global best practices and deliver safe, reliable air travel to its passengers.

“The third renewal of our IOSA registration is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our entire team,” said CEO Adrian Hamilton-Manns. “The renewal reflects our safety-first culture and continuous drive to strengthen operational excellence. It reinforces SalamAir’s position as a trusted carrier that places the safety of our guests and crew at the forefront of every decision we make.”

The certification enhances the airline’s operational credibility and supports future expansion across regional and international markets. It positions SalamAir to meet rising travel demand while maintaining efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness—a crucial factor for low-cost carriers operating in competitive markets.

As part of its forward-looking strategy, SalamAir plans to expand its route network, introduce newer aircraft, and implement sustainable aviation practices. The IOSA renewal will also enable partnerships with global carriers and support operational resilience, ensuring passenger safety, service quality, and accessibility across Oman and the Middle East.
