Redfaire and BGF have announced that BGF has made a €13 million minority investment in Redfaire to back international expansion, service development and further acquisitions; the transaction is complete, with no further terms disclosed. It matters because it hands a scaling Irish ERP consultancy a patient-capital backer with an explicit acquisition mandate, at a moment when enterprise customers are actively consolidating their systems integration partners.
Redfaire is a Limerick-based enterprise resource planning and cloud services provider founded in 2003, employing more than 200 people and specialising in Oracle's JD Edwards ERP software and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It operates across Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe and North America, and is a founding partner of Redfaire International, a network of JD Edwards consulting partners spanning 23 countries.
BGF is a certified B Corp growth capital investor operating across the UK and Ireland, backed by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, Bank of Ireland, AIB and Ulster Bank, with €250 million available to invest in Irish SMEs.
The investment follows Redfaire's acquisition of eKal Solutions, which added capabilities across human capital management, enterprise performance management, financials and supply chain management, extending its ERP offering beyond core JD Edwards consulting into adjacent enterprise systems.
Redfaire Chief Executive Brian McInerney said: "BGF's investment is a strong endorsement of that work and of the team behind it. Their backing allows us to accelerate international expansion, further enhance our capabilities, and broaden our reach and expertise."
BGF has deployed more than €4.67 billion across the UK and Ireland since 2011, backing over 600 businesses, giving it direct comparators for scaling a founder-led, mission-critical enterprise software consultancy internationally.
Alongside the funding, Redfaire is appointing Glenn Timms, a former PwC Corporate Finance Partner and past chief executive of IESA, as non-executive chair through the BGF Talent Network, adding governance experience specific to acquisition-led growth.
For the sector, the deal signals that ERP consultancies with deep platform specialism, rather than broad generalist coverage, are now attracting growth capital explicitly earmarked for buy-and-build expansion into adjacent enterprise software niches.
