US digital identity firm Prove is expanding its Ireland operations with a $5 million (approximately €4.6 million) investment and the creation of 50 new jobs, reinforcing Dublin's role as a central hub for the company's global product development, innovation, and international growth strategy.

Business Wire reported that since establishing its Irish operations in 2022, Prove has grown its Dublin headcount by 50% in the past six months alone, with Ireland-based teams playing a central role in launching several new solutions over the past year, including Prove Unified Authentication, ProveX, and Prove Verified Agent.

Founded in 2008 as Payfone and rebranded in 2020, Prove employs more than 400 people globally across hubs in the US, UK, Ireland, and Brazil, verifying 30 billion transactions annually and holding more than 200 patents in identity and authentication.

The company's technology supports thousands of enterprises globally, including major banks, fintechs, and global brands, with Ireland-based teams playing a growing role in supporting customers with international needs.

Laura Brittingham, senior vice-president of people at Prove, said: "The talent we've found there brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative, innovative and dependable spirit that has led to an outsized impact at Prove. There is no version of Prove's future that doesn't include Ireland at its centre."

Michael Lohan, chief executive of IDA Ireland, said the expansion highlights Ireland's strength as a global hub for advanced digital identity, data, and technology development, adding that it underscores the country's ability to support companies as they scale internationally and innovate at pace.

Peter Burke, minister for enterprise, tourism and employment, said the investment and 50 new roles reflect strong confidence in Ireland's talented workforce and its environment for research, development, and innovation.
