Glasgow-based payroll technology firm NXSYS has launched NXSYS Ireland, a dedicated platform providing Irish businesses and accountants with cloud-based payroll infrastructure designed to streamline compliance, improve process transparency, and support organisations operating across complex workforce structures.
Prolific North reported that the Ireland launch forms part of the company's wider growth strategy, enabling businesses in Ireland to access the same connected payroll infrastructure already used by organisations across the UK. The expansion coincides with the introduction of new Joint and Several Liability legislation that came into force in April 2026, placing shared responsibility for unpaid payroll taxes on organisations operating within labour supply chains, particularly those using umbrella companies.
The NXSYS Ireland platform has been developed with automated onboarding, intelligent import mapping, and connected employer and employee portals to support Irish businesses managing payroll across PAYE, umbrella, and contractor structures.
Beth Williams, business development manager at NXSYS, said: "Businesses want reassurance that the systems they rely on are clear, compliant and easy to manage. Technology can play an important role in giving organisations confidence that processes are being handled correctly."
Jim McBride, founder and managing director of NXSYS, said: "Payroll has traditionally been seen as an administrative function, but it has become far more strategic. As organisations grow, they often find legacy systems cannot keep up with the complexity of modern workforce structures. Having a connected system that provides visibility across the payroll process is increasingly important."
McBride founded NXSYS after years of working in IT consultancy, where he frequently encountered inefficient payroll platforms and disconnected systems that created unnecessary complexity for employers and workers alike.
