TES Power has expanded its workforce and international operations following its acquisition by Legrand, strengthening its position in the global power distribution and critical infrastructure market. For operational excellence stakeholders, the development reflects how manufacturing scale-up and international integration are being used to enhance production capacity, workforce capability and delivery efficiency across high-demand infrastructure sectors.
News Letter reported that TES Power, headquartered in Cookstown with manufacturing operations in Ballykelly, has grown from a regional engineering business into a global supplier of electrical infrastructure for data centres and mission-critical environments. The company has increased its workforce to more than 300 employees and reported revenues of £72m (€83.6m), driven by rising demand across European and US markets.
The business recently opened a 300,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in County Derry, designed to support increased output of power distribution systems used in large-scale data centre projects. The expansion is positioned to improve production throughput, operational resilience and supply chain responsiveness as global demand for digital infrastructure continues to accelerate.
TES Power has also expanded its talent pipeline through structured apprenticeship and graduate programmes, including 30 apprenticeships offered in 2025 across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, project management and quality assurance functions. The recruitment strategy reflects a broader operational focus on skills development and workforce scalability to support long-term production requirements.
Managing Director Michael Beagan described the acquisition as a landmark moment for TES, noting that the partnership with Legrand provides a platform for further international expansion while maintaining a strong operational base in Northern Ireland. He added that continued investment in people and facilities would support the company’s next phase of growth.
