iVerify, a US-based mobile security company, has announced plans to grow its Belfast workforce by introducing specialist data engineer and analyst positions offering average annual compensation of £78,000, according to an Irish News report.

Established in 2023 with a current global headcount exceeding 40 employees, the majority of whom work within its Belfast-based engineering division, iVerify positions itself as the inaugural mobile threat hunting enterprise focused on safeguarding mobile devices against contemporary security challenges including mercenary spyware and SIM swapping attacks.

The Northern Ireland expansion was confirmed by Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald following a series of business engagements in the United States. The company selected Northern Ireland from a shortlist that included London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Danny Rogers, Founder and Chief Executive of iVerify, highlighted the region's technology sector credentials. "Northern Ireland stands out for its world-class tech sector, the exceptional talent pool we've pulled from to date, and excellent academic research facilities in the field of cyber security. So we're thrilled to expand our footprint in Belfast," he said.

Minister Archibald emphasised the significance of international investment to regional economic development. "Foreign direct investment plays an important part in building our economic success. iVerify's reinvestment is a vote of confidence in this proposition," she stated.

The company intends to work with regional universities to establish placement opportunities and graduate positions, creating career pathways across different experience levels.

Anne Beggs, Chief Commercial Officer at Invest NI, the organisation providing financial assistance and investor support services to iVerify, stated the expansion reinforces Northern Ireland's standing for exceptional talent whilst raising the international profile of the region's capabilities in specialist technology sectors.
