Greenlink Interconnector won the Green Operational Excellence Award at the Operational Excellence Awards 2025 earlier this year for its structured integration of sustainability principles into core operational planning and delivery.

The organisation demonstrated a clear strategy for measuring and monitoring environmental objectives, including decarbonisation progress, biodiversity enhancement and community-oriented sustainability outreach. Its data-led approach enabled quantifiable improvements while reinforcing its commitment to long-term environmental stewardship.

Judges pointed to the strength of Greenlink’s ESG governance and its capacity to pair operational discipline with environmental ambition. They highlighted the organisation’s ability to embed carbon reduction, community engagement and ecological enhancement into its infrastructure delivery model.

“This entrant stood out for its strong commitment to sustainability and strategic partnerships in delivering vital infrastructure,” the judges noted. “Its impressive carbon reduction efforts and embedded ESG governance reflected genuine environmental leadership.”

Greenlink’s recognition reflects a wider trend across the programme, where entrants are increasingly distinguished by verifiable impact, robust governance frameworks and the ability to align operational performance with environmental responsibility. Their win sits within a progression of strong performers who are defining the benchmarks for excellence in sustainable operations.

As the sector builds momentum, the transition from the 2025 cycle to the year ahead underscores the growing emphasis on measurable transformation and long-term value creation.

Who will claim the 2026 title? We’ll soon find out as entries close on 6 February 2026, with finalists to be announced on 25 March 2026. From there, the 2026 awards gala will be held on 27 May 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.
