Tokyo-headquartered FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation has opened a new 18,000 sq ft warehouse facility in Fairfield, New Jersey, as part of a strategic investment to expand its US endoscopy service operations, as reported by Business Wire.

The Fairfield facility officially began operations in May 2026. By relocating warehouse functions from its existing Wayne, New Jersey site, Fujifilm will free sufficient space to expand the Wayne service centre to approximately 1.5 times its original size, directly increasing capacity to support healthcare providers nationwide.

The expanded Wayne service centre is designed to increase service efficiency, optimise turnaround times, and enhance technical support capabilities for endoscopy customers across the United States.

Taisuke Fujita, senior vice president of the US Endoscopy Division at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, said: "The opening of our new Fairfield facility represents an important milestone for our endoscopy business and reflects Fujifilm's ongoing investment in innovation, infrastructure, and customer support. From advancing service excellence to investing in our workforce and infrastructure, we are building for long-term growth. As healthcare providers continue to rely on advanced endoscopic technologies from Fujifilm to support patient care, we are committed to scaling our operations and service capabilities to continue to meet and exceed their evolving needs."

The operational model underpinning the expansion reflects a deliberate decoupling strategy, separating warehousing and logistics functions from technical service delivery to allow each to scale independently without constraining the other. This approach reduces spatial bottlenecks within service environments and is increasingly common among medical device companies managing growing installed base volumes.

FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation is headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts, and operates across diagnostic imaging, enterprise imaging, endoscopic imaging, surgical imaging, and in-vitro diagnostics. Its parent company, FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation, is headquartered in Tokyo and employs over 70,000 people globally across healthcare, electronics, business innovation, and imaging segments.

The Fairfield expansion forms part of Fujifilm's broader US endoscopy growth strategy, as demand for advanced gastrointestinal imaging and endosurgical technologies continues to increase among hospital systems and ambulatory surgical centres across North America.
