Emirates, the UAE-based airline, has partnered with OpenAI to integrate artificial intelligence across its operations, aiming to streamline services, improve efficiency, and elevate the customer experience.

The initiative targets operational excellence while positioning Emirates at the forefront of AI adoption in aviation.

Central to the collaboration is the deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise, an advanced language model designed to optimise internal operations and customer-facing functions. Tailored AI literacy programmes will equip employees with the knowledge to leverage AI tools effectively, enhancing productivity while mitigating risks associated with new technologies.

The airline will explore innovative AI applications to improve decision-making, communication, and resource management. Emirates is also establishing an AI Champion network, comprising employees across departments to facilitate adoption, knowledge sharing, and the successful implementation of AI solutions.

An AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) will serve as a hub for collaboration, research, and project piloting. The CoE will measure AI implementation outcomes, share best practices, and promote continuous innovation, supporting both operational efficiency and customer service enhancements.

The partnership includes exclusive access to cutting-edge AI research and emerging technologies, enabling Emirates to contribute to AI standards and participate in high-profile government and industry projects. Leadership sessions will provide executives with insights into AI applications, supporting strategic integration at the organisational level.

By embedding AI into operations, Emirates aims to personalise services, accelerate responses, optimise flight scheduling, and enhance logistics management. The initiative is expected to reduce costs, improve workflow efficiency, and support informed decision-making across the business.
