This award is open to organisations in Ireland with sustainability embedded in their operations who can demonstrate a ground-up best environmental practice in all aspects of running a business. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Background: Summarise your sustainability strategy, its development, and objectives. Explain how your approach supports environmental best practices in operations.
- Commitments: Detail your commitments to sustainable sourcing, resource management, supply chain greening and transparency, and community contributions. Highlight any results and innovations achieved.
- Targets & Results: Describe your measurable sustainability targets related to energy, waste, water, and overall environmental impact. Provide data on the results achieved and any innovations introduced, including year-on-year comparisons.
- Culture: Explain how sustainability is integrated into your organisation’s culture, including senior management support and staff training on sustainability initiatives.
- Commercial Benefits: Discuss the positive impacts of your green initiatives on your business, such as increased productivity, cost savings, regulatory compliance, and attracting talent and investors. Include relevant metrics.
- Future Sustainability Goals: Outline your future sustainability targets and plans. Explain how these goals will further your environmental efforts and address any remaining challenges.
